Rick Colson fell in love with aviation at age 15 in the right seat of a V-tail Beechcraft Bonanza at the then- Scottsdale Airpark. As an aircraft owner and FAA-certified pilot with 18 years senior business, aviation and operations management experience, Rick has experienced multiple facets of private aviation from the pilot seat to the front office. Rick believes that success in private aviation and private jet charter in particular result from the level of personal service, safety and the customer's experience before, during and after a flight. And New Flight charters was founded on this level of service. In addition to overseeing operations, Rick stays involved with the heart of our business - our customers - and occasionally handles individual charters as well.
Rick earned a Bachelor of Science in Business degree from the renowned W. A. Franke College of Business at Northern Arizona University and earned his FAA ratings at Pinnacle Aviation Academy. He is an aircraft owner and an active member of the National Business Aircraft Association, the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, and the National Air Transportation Association. Rick also is a called-upon Consultant in private aviation.
